On Tuesday, February 19, 2008 the Republican of Fresno County voted to endorse Jerry Duncan in his run for mayor. When asked to comment on the endorsment,
Duncan stated, "this hard working group of elected members and volunteers is the heart and soul of the local Republican party. They are the ones that make things happen locally for the Republican party and their endorsement for the office of Mayor of Fresno is a great personal honor."
Duncan also received an endorsement from, California State Senator, Dave Cogdill. Senator Cogdill represents the 14th State Senatorial District and is widely respected for his work on valley water issues as well as his support for small business. This now means that with Assembly member
Mike Villines, two of our local state legislative leaders have endorsed his candidacy.
