McClintock Unveils New Campaign Commercial
Tom McClintock launched a new campaign commercial Monday that began airing in major media markets statewide. The television spot is called ‘COMMITMENT.’
In every campaign appearance, McClintock delivers his message. “This election is about a clear choice for
California
’s future,” a theme that is repeated in his latest commercial.
During the thirty-second commercial, McClintock references the recall election of 2003, his running mate Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and ends with the tag line, “this election is about moving forward, not backward.”
In an editorial on Oct. 7th, the Riverside Press Enterprise said McClintock “has earned broad respect for his commitment to principle and his thorough understanding of arcane public policy debates.”
That’s why many newspapers in the state have endorsed Tom McClintock for Lt. Governor.
The Los Angeles Daily News joined several other
Southern California
newspapers by endorsing Tom McClintock on Monday. Other Southern California newspapers that have already written favorable comments or endorsed Tom McClintock are the Long Beach Press Telegram, the Riverside Press Enterprise, and the
Orange
County
Register.
Even newspapers opposing him have praised McClintock for his “provocative” point of view and for “being widely known as the state's fiscal watchdog.” The
Los Angeles
Times went as far as saying McClintock might “actually make the more interesting lieutenant governor — as a tight-fisted check on the Democrats who hold sway in the Legislature.”
