Firebaugh – County Library: 4th Thursday of Each Month 1-3 PM
Kerman – County Library: 3rd Friday of Each Month 1-3 PM

John P. "Phil" Larson was elected to represent District One in November 2002 and was sworn in January 6, 2003. He ran unopposed for re-election in June of 2006 and will begin his new term in January 2007.

District One is located in western Fresno County and is primarily rural with rich and productive farmland and includes:
  • 5 Cities - Firebaugh, Fresno (westside), Kerman, Mendota, and San Joaquin
  • 12 Unincorporated Communities - Biola, Cantua Creek, Dos Palos, Easton, Five Points, Helm, Herndon, Highway City, Mercy Hot Springs, Rolinda, Three Rocks, and Tranquillity.
Supervisor Larson is a lifelong farmer and Fresno County resident. He and his wife Joyce have two children and three grandchildren. Phil is also a United States Marine Corps veteran who achieved the rank of Sergeant E-4 while serving in Korea.

  • Testified - Congressional Committee on Resources – Subcommittee hearing on Westside Regional Drainage Plan (San Luis Drain)
  • Adopted Fresno County Water Management Group Memorandum of Understanding
John P. "Phil" Larson had a long and distinguished career with the Wilbur Ellis Company and retired in 2000. His list of community involvement is extensive and includes:
